The Beauty & Joy of Computing is a College Board endorsed professional development and curriculum for the new AP Computer Science Principles course. UTeach CSPDallas
UTeach CS Principles is a turnkey curriculum that fully addresses the College Board’s AP Computer Science Principles Curriculum Framework. No materials costs are assumed, and project-based lessons and materials are used throughout. This pedagogical approach actively engages students in collaborative learning processes that encourage problem solving, critical thinking, and group communication. Code.org TeacherCon
Code.org is running one of their regional TeacherCon events during CSPdWeek. The Code.org Computer Science Principles Professional Learning Program is an intensive professional learning program for high school educators who are interested in teaching Code.org’s CS Principles course. This program is designed to prepare educators to provide high quality instruction based on the CS Principles curriculum, tools and approach to students in their classrooms. AP Summer Institute (Sacramento)
The AP® Summer Institutes provide teachers with the support and training needed to teach AP® courses and to utilize AP® teaching strategies. Teachers from around the world come together at these institutes to exchange ideas and information about AP® courses and exams. This APSI is being offered at Sacramento State, and applications are open until June 14th.
